You see the raid weapons? They are complete shiit weaopns, what's more; they're random perk rolling too. Just another reason to farm a 4 hour raid to get a "good set" of perks. These weapons from raid are just bad, they are regular guns that look different. No good perks essentially. The pulses rifle is extremely unstable and low impact. The scout rifle is the only gun that is "okay" I don't see a big difference why I would use this gun of say, Hung Jury. My Jade rabbit poops on all these guns. Take a look at the new scout rifle then compare it to vision of confluence. It's a joke. Also, raid difficulty is just too high for the type of rewards you're getting. I enjoy a difficult raid, I Do, believe me, but for the rewards you get, i would rather do strikes and farm exotics with three of coins. The Only difference in a piece of vanguard gear compared to raid armor for example is light level. They aren't special. You can just infuse your vanguard gear with a blue engram that's at 300 light! Just remember the raid loot from before and compare it to the old vanguard gear. The raid loot always had something worth getting, like the reload speed on gloves, the heavy ammo increase on boots etc.. Lol. Lastly, I'm pretty sure they sold out first raid with Atheon and our expectations are too high. Gloves with special ammo reload. Helmets with guaranteed rolls that give inverse shadow...Now they have to scale down everything so we have something to strive for. Except that there is no difference in any guns or gear except for light level. Maybe hard mode raid will offer better rolls on weapons? I really hope hard mode gives back the extra stuff on like the older raid gear. Otherwise... crucible will be dominated by year one gear and the new stuff is just not very useful. so far, I have just used the raid gear to infuse my other gear to achieve above 300 light on my exotics.

The LMG, pulse rifle, sniper rifle, and scout rifle are outstanding for PvE in general and especially for the King's Fall raid. These weapons are also not bad for PvP, especially the LMG and sniper rifle. The rocket launcher WITH TRACKING is very solid. Not as good without it. The fusion rifle is good as well with the right perk (namely, Hot Swap or Hip Fire) and would be a monster with a beefy PvE buff, which is long overdue. I'd infuse the shotgun and auto rifle. The hand cannon could have been good, but range is low and the Taken damage bonus isn't going to be easy to make use of in the spacious, rangey King's Fall raid.

I have no issues with the raid weapons, and I don't understand why everyone is crying about hard the raid is. Personally I think it's a joke up to oryx and even then it's mechanics and not horrible. Sure everyone has to do their part and you cant be carried. Put in work and quit crying..

The new raid weapons are bad, except the machine gun. Luke Smith was very clear in Kotaku's Split/Screen podcast that the Vault of Glass weapons were too powerful. Bungie didn't want to repeat that mistake. So the new raid weapons are not over powered. Also, Year 2 is all about infusion to get the gear you want at the highest possible light level. And because infusion is only 80% effective, you'll need multiple drops of the same item to infuse another item to the same level. Hence, you will need duplicate drops to hit max level with your favorite gun or armor. This isn't a good system, by the way. Unless you raid, the best gear you can obtain is level 300, and level 300 gear is rare. 99% of players will be #forever290s unless they raid. And level 300 and 310 exotics are only available when you hit level 300, making the rich richer, so to speak. And of course, players will all end up wearing the same gear to reach the highest light level just like they did in Year 1 before ascension.

Personally I really like the scout and shotgun I got from the Raid. Cocoon is a really cool perk that lets me keep firing without waiting for a long shotgun reload. I appreciate the feedback though and will pass it on. I want to make sure the dev team knows how you feel about the rewards you are getting. Keep it coming.

I agree

People need to try the pulse rifle with firefly . It's my new favorite weapon pvp and pve the sniper isn't to bad also.

Edited by jemiles: 10/7/2015 2:38:06 PMWill have to agree on those weapons. From my experience with the other raids, I was quite excited to obtain a raid weapon. They tend to be a cut above the rest. Be it amazing perk rolls or just the fact that it's a primary with a specific burn damage. So I got a few weapons and quickly realized they are all terrible in comparison to what I already have. Let's just take the raid scout rifle for example. The only good thing about this weapon in comparison to my hung jury is the extra taken damage. But honestly, I don't see many taken in the raid. More Hive than anything. But just comparing to my hung jury, the raid scout rifle has the same impact and RoF, but FAR less stability, reload and range. Not to mention a terrible scope (scopes I know are a personal preference). I mean for a weapon I can just buy from dead orbit (hung jury) to a weapon I have to fight through a raid to earn, it's like a slap in the face. My hung jury holds 20 rounds to the 19 of the raid scout, not to mention triple tap on my hung jury. This is just one weapon, not even going to mention the others I've gotten and immediately dismantled. The raid weapons are a joke and honestly need some serious rework. Why do I even need to run the raid when the best weapons are those outside of the raid?

Cadaver looking junk! I want my VoG weapons to be 300+
-
I actually enjoy the random perks on them. The difficulty is so high because everyone made the last 2 raids look like a joke. They didn't want that to happen again. (Dunno what they were thinking with golgoroth)
-
I like that the raid weapons aren't the best weapons in the game by a mile. Once I had vision of confluence and fate bringer all other weapons felt piintless.

I don't like the inconsistency with the drops as well. Getting to oryx while receiving moldering shards. Then oryx gives me 1 drop and takes my 30+ shards lol GG bro

I haven't been able to get serious about the raid, yet life and all :( Only made one attempt with 4 people, made it up to the "relay run" before the first boss I'm guessing. Didnt take roo long to get there either. Then someone had to leave lol. I like the idea of cacoon on a shotty, or a HMG, but other then that I'm not sure it's worth a perk slot. Primarys reload pretty quickly. Snipers reload pretty fast too so idk. I agree with people saying the raid gear should have unique perks or at least very powerful ones. Like I said a shotty with cacoon and 6 shots would be badass, as long as it's reloaded the instant you quick swap. Idk about the rest though. I do like how they made it deal dmg against all taken, instead of like "taken captains" or "taken centurion" like they did with house of wolves. Nothing more annoying then shank burn on a rocket launcher, or sniper lol.

Hahahah I stopped at 4 hours.. That raid takes no more than an hour and a half if everyone is a dumb ass like you.
-
Takes you 4 hours?
-
Clearly you havent gotten a 310 sniper then.
-
lol '4 hour raid' maybe you're the one who sucks, not the gear
-
No they are made for the Raid specifically in mind and they are actually the best at their job
-
The gear isn't bad... when it drops. I've gotten my warlock all the way to the daughters and received nothing from any chest so far except wormspore and ammo synth.
-
Dude... The raid gear is fine. I've gotten the hand cannon and shotgun so far and I love both of them. I wish they'd drop me some armor though... That would be welcomed...
