So although I don’t play destiny no more , I still watch people play it etc and I’ve always been interested in lore One of which revolves around hive anyhow , Soo after watching stuff unfold with savathurn and witch queen etc I went through all the lore I could and info and put together well another set reasons why destiny’s greatest threat will always be oryx , (ghoul is most probably our second but that’s another story for another day ) Before I digress I will note I noticed references in the game and lore to do with the osmium king …ironic as oryx was also the osmium king as one of his titles Now that aside I’ll get to it Savathurn sister of oryx , wielder of the light goddess of cunning and deceit, Vs Oryx brother (was sister ) to savathurn, the taken king , Destroyer of Light Taker of Will Osmium King King of Shapes Lord of Shapes Geometer of Shapes Carver of Tablets The Last True Shape The Final Axiom King of Bone Harrowed god God of chaos and ruin , A lot of names for sure however , Savathurn took/was gifted the light thus bestowed such onto her court of hive ,as each hive ruler does indeed have its own court , Has her own throne world ,can linger in and out of her dimension as well as ours like most high ranking hive god/beings Became osiris for short period learned about us and all stuff inbetween For the most part greed and influence seems to be savathurn motivation or least her will , Now to oryx (there’s a subject ) We was introduced to him via death of his son Crota , His favourite his will his blood , He was most definitely fuelled by revenge Now he didn’t just causally slide up like. Random f not in someone’s dms nooo he came and nearly wiped us all out , he wiped out most of the awoken (destiny 1 lore and taken king prelog for reference ), didn’t just have an armada upon armada of hive upon his command and court he wielded what I would call blight not darkness , He could shift between our world and his much like his sister however he can also shift between the ascendant realm and ours and as stated he has an echo of himself aka a double etc sharing his same will and malice Which he can take any living thing and bend there will to his own ,they can then multiply and so on ,very nasty , he took countless hive ,vex and cabal under the blight of taken , I’m destiny one we had nearly every planet engulfed with taken blights (before we ever got near the dreadnaught,his ship ) , could split his own being into one of the echo basically a blighted version of himself, His daughters the death singers along with omingul (crotas court ) nearly resurrected Crota , Just on that alone with the legions he had in his court , If it wasn’t for a joint effort of eris (whom I’m still im belief she is evil 😂 but that’s another story ) And cayde 6 stupidly genius idea , we may well have lost Even after his defeat his forces still lingered , taken who then went to be commanded by malok oryx successor, Dark blade was next in line also to the dark throne of oryx Nokris the less favourite of oryx children I believe still lingers out there , I don’t think he is dead him and omingul can resurrect them selfs ,in campaigns it has been stated as such , What’s your thoughts ?
