Have played D2 on this PC for years under Steam. Switching all my titles over to Xbox on PC.
Uninstalled Destiny 2 Steam version, installed Microsoft version.
Boot up the Microsoft version of Destiny 2, and it stops at the black rotating logo screen. Firewalls are turned off, cleared the cache.
Thoughts?

Edited by autopatch: 12/15/2023 7:28:06 PMI looked on other forums, and they suggested making sure that the audio is set to DEFAULT for the game in: Windows 10 > Sound Settings > Application Volume and Device Preferences > Destiny 2 > Output > Even though the game under Steam will boot with an audio output OTHER than DEFAULT, the Microsoft version will not boot unless the audio output is set to DEFAULT. The actual default device can be anything you want. This sounds like a longstanding bug to me. I'm able to reliably reproduce the issue in the Microsoft version of Destiny 2. Is there an update as to when this will be fixed? I have a need for the game audio to be redirected to a different device (headphones) and not the default system device (monitor). I would have to have to keep Steam only for one game. Thank you.
it stops at the black rotating logo screen
I had a somewhat similar problem, but the game didn't exactly stop - it was either looping back to "Press any key" screen (but next attempt was usually successful) or giving a "Connection to server is lost" error (fixed by using a VPN, and later contacting my ISP). You can try ProtonVPN, it has a free version.
