Seeing as we get more and more content and they no longer want to sunset major content pieces, I think it's about time rotators/timers be removed or at least changed. Waiting for 1 piece of content to come around for drops is beginning to be a problem. Consider the amount of raids we have and how long we have to wait for a particular raid to come around as the weekly to be farmable. Imagine how many dungeons we have and how long they take to rotate. By the time the thing you want to run through rotates around, life may be crazy busy for you thus removing your chances of farming for whatever you want. This is both harmful for veteran and new light players alike.
I'll be the first to say I'm not a game dev, so I won't pretend this would be an easy change. But I believe we need something different. Be it allowing all content to be farmable at all times(maybe too far) or allowing us to directly pick what we want to be farmable for that given week. This latter idea, I believe, could do wonders for the game if you could also select 3 different farmable things per account(for the 3 characters you can make.) Back in D1 I remember people being hard-locked into playing 1 class: this could be what incentivizes people to play all 3. Can you imagine being a veteran player that's still missing certain weapon drops or god rolls from raids? With this idea you can target those each week in a very methodical way.
Regardless of what gets changed, I believe it's time. And preferably before we get into another arc of Destiny after we beat the Witness.
