What happened to shiny weapons
I attuned Hammerhead played at least 4 onslaughts a day for a whole week got zero shiny hammerhead, so far this week I’m on blast furnace same result # drop rates are -blam!-

i’m yet to get a shiny weapon that I have tuned. Seem to get all others. the only decent shiny weapons I have is a hammerhead with assassin, surrounded trigger and stabilizing rounds. Mountaintop overflow spike grenades re-combination impulse amplifier. come to realize that’s all I’ve had so far is five after grinding hours and hours.

I’ve had three Elsie’s pulse rifles and that’s it and I’ve never attuned it… a legend completion should reward at least 1 per character per week

An intentional Quality of Life change! The more we play the better Bungo's quality of life! Seriously though, even though the above is truthful, I was getting shiny drop the first 2 weeks, not a single one since. Well other then the curated you get from completely the initial bounties. And I'm running it more, now then when I was getting shiny drops.

Why do you guys grind mindlessly for RNG loot? I would never, at least not ever again. I wasted so much time grinding in D1 for vex only for bungie to make me grind for vex again. I promised I would never grind RNG loot ever again. Thats why I actually played this event, super black is actually guaranteed. As for the loot, if I get a god roll? Cool, if not? Oh well. This game will always bring new loot into the game and usually it’s better than the old ones. So you shiny no life grinders will probably enjoy the weapons for one season before bungie either nerfs them again or simply introduce new and better loot. At least for me, grinding for loot is just not fun anymore.

Consequently, people play more. At the beginning, I got so many shiny weapons and I literally only got what I had attuned to. Now, curiously, I get zero shiny weapons and only like 60% of my drops are what I actually attuned to. They tease you and show you how much fun it is to get all that stuff and when it comes to what you actually want, they nerf the drops so that you have to grind like a maniac. Edit: Same strategy as ever. They cannot fathom that people actually play the game because they like it. They feel they have to force us into certain activities to make sure our playtime is up. Unfortunately, this whole strategy keeps backfiring.

Had at least 8 shiny Elsie's Rifles despite not focussing on it at all. I focussed Luna's Howl as soon as I unlocked it and have focussed on it all week, had saved over 180 tokens prior to it unlocking and have farmed all week in Onslaught, zero shiny Luna's Howl. I must have broken down well over 50 of the bloody things, easy. Ram that RNG right up your pooper Bungo.

I just posted under the feedback with my own complaint about this. The legendary onslaught shiny weapon drop rate is so bad, and I swear it’s getting worse the longer you play. The more runs you’ve done, the less shiny weapons drops you’re getting.

many assumed attunement would be more like focusing said weapon like that would be the majority of the drops and secondly if bungie had been completely transparent about their bs people would've only completed the most sought after weapons and just farmed 1 weapon til they got the roll they were after cause it would be the only drop they could get and then do a separate weapon and repeat we got baited by bungie and superblack bottom line is it all comes back to player count in the end

Ya something weird is going on. I was attuned to Edge Transit for the longest time and I’d say about 80-90% of my drops were ET (including quite a few shinies). I briefly switched to Lunas Howl this week, and since switching back to Edge Transit I’d say the drop rate has been like maybe 30% only and ZERO shiny versions.

They definitely decreased them while simultaneously nerfing all our cheese. Just farm legends 10's. It's not worth it otherwise.

The shiny was actually froim Bungie's spiel. It blinded you making you believe the drop rate was increased. It's pretty -blam!- to be honest.

2 RepliesI’m not worried about the shinys, but the obvious weight of certain perks is ridiculous. I’m looking at you discord and enlightened action. Oh and let’s not forget the ever so powerful reload masterwork, that really seems to be the favorite.

I've only had one drop since Onslaught started. They should have just made it a memento shader. The drop rate may have been more favourable.

I've noticed a similar trend with my drops. My guess is that it has something to do with there being more weapons in the pool now.

I have been living in onslaught normal and I too have noticed a lack of shiny guns.

Yeah, the first week and a half had better drop rates even when grinding 10 Wave Onslaught. I got some regular weapons with decent rolls but i was hoping the Shiny weapons be the ultimate loot in this activity.. I like Onslaught but I'm going to roll back on the playing and just do the Weekly Challenges.
