Objectively, Into the Light is an event that uses recycled material for the Onslaught activity from various: seasons, seasonal activity, raid mechanics, strike mechanics, and playlist activities. On top of that, the loot is recycled weapons. On top of that, we didn't even get one new weapon. On top of that, the Onslaught locations are ALSO recycled locations. On top of that, the Whisper mission is practically also the same as before.
Onslaught, if it is not legend, it's boring, and it actually serves as just another bounty completing activity.
So besides, Legendary Onslaught, which it still uses recycled material, and the loot it gives is recycled weapons; what exactly did the devs make that isn't half-baked recycled content? And that it's fun?
If you're going to use recycled materials anyway, why not do so bringing back actual content that can't be experienced again/now? Like, Mars (escalation protocol especially), or Venus, or even The reef? No, of course, yall take Midtown, a "redesigned" pvp map, Mothyards, a cosmodrome open world location, and vostok/felwinter's peak, ALSO, a "redesigned" pvp map. Couldn't even give us the Red War last city locations, like they did to Neptune... and what about the tower... let's not even talk about it.

Crying over a free update XD
-
If you hate an update that literally is free and most of the community likes, stop crying and play a new game lol
-
Play another game bozo
-
Don’t play then? No one really cares about your opinion anyways. Take your subpar gameplay and attitude.
-
Would you prefer nothing instead? Lol. You people are insane
-
so yo uare mad for a seasonal update free that is bigger than most seasonal update LOL
-
To get more loot or to not get more loot, that is the question. -Shakespeare
-
It's literally a free update, stop complaining for no reason.
-
It’s supposed to be a free update to buy time on the FS delay; did you expect Bungie to produce and release an entire dlc centered on some random moon, with a new weapon type and subclass in less than 3 months for free? Honestly, all you do is gripe on the forums, instead of acting more melodramatic and ungrateful than a 80’s stereotyped teenager, and try to enjoy things as they are.
-
I don't know why people are saying it's free after they've already paid a premium for all of the years content. This game costs like $100 a year.
-
It would have been kinda dumb for them to spend too much time on ITL when it’s just filler to keep us busy while they work on TFS. If we were paying for ITL I could understand people being disappointed but for free I think they did okay.
-
For a free update it’s great. They just introduced the best activity to test builds in as far as I’m concerned. This also seems like the best way to issue reprised weapons. As long as we can attune that is.
-
Buddy it’s a free update full of weapons people were demanding they get back.
-
It’s a hard pass from me and it does suck. Good thing it was free though. Imagine paying for that garbage.
-
I agree chief. If I was like you that could not complete any of the included activities or earn any of the weapons, I would absolutely feel the same way. But in your case, it's all a skill issue.
-
......it's all free...
-
Dude all you do is troll and trash the game. Play something else seeing your only purpose is to disrupt the forums with trash post after trash post. Grown men crying over a game is never a good look.
-
You idiots still complaining about "No New Weapons" It's a nostalgic update, bringing back old favorites with never before seen perk combinations was the point They didn't have to do anything, but players like you are crying because you didn't get new stuff , the entitlement is pathetic at this point
-
Take a shot every time OP uses "On top of that" in the first paragraph. Only way to take the rest of the post seriously.

If you are going to hate on free content then there’s no hope for you. Yet another example of the destiny community being the most toxic in gaming history.

Your subjective opinion of a thing doesn't constitute objective fact. -
You should ask for a refund
-
Life is so unfair.
-
Than don't play it, keep running the seasonal activities, and complain in game chat to them, the majority of the player base really love it. Or better yet go play a different game
-
ITL is pretty good tbh currently as a 1 off, grind is getting old ATM, sucks not getting what you want after hundreds of drops, next dlc n episode it will be ugg even with a weapon refresh.

Was there an actual point to this post?
