There are quite a few shells with the same basic shape as the OG D1 ghost.

The Generalist Shell should be in your collections under Season 8. If it isn't you can go to the Divide in the Cosmodrome and kill the fallen walker that spawns every now and then. That should drop it for you.

I believe you can get it and the OG D1 starting ship from the New Light quest, even if you’ve been playing the game for years. Don’t quote me on that but I’m pretty it’s how I got mine WITHOUT making a new character. It has been awhile though so I’d have to go back and see. I do remember laughing at that little cutscene where you meet the Cosmodrome vendor and I saw my Hunter fully kitted out in my god tier armor but with an old rifle and the default ghost lol 😂. I’d try picking up the New Light quest from the quest kiosk by Postmaster or the one on the Helm. You’ll have to play through it to a certain point then you should be able to dip out and keep your loot.

If your looking for a similarly nostalgic style with some flair check out the "bright cycle shell" ghost. There's a few different shaders that have that classic look but with some glow. The crucible solemnity, hoarfrost sunrise and monochromatic shaders make for the most accurate look. At least in the shaders i have.
