Which Hammerhead has better DPS?

Got two rolls that I enjoy, but I'm not a math guy, and I would like to know which roll has the highest ammo potential: Roll 1: Rewind Rounds + Target Lock Roll 2 Fourth Time's the Charm + Target Lock Thanks!

  • I tried out two Hammerheads, one with Rewind Rounds Killing Tally and another with Fourth Times the Charm/Killing Tally, against Kalli since she stays in one place for damage. Both with x3 Killing Tally, Rewind Rounds beaten FTtC but by not much. Most i’ve done with both rolls where 47k damage apart so🤷‍♂️.

You really don’t want to use a LMG for DPS. Spend your time getting an envious/bait and switch Edge Transit. Hammer Head is a phenomenal ad clear weapon with rampage/killing tally though.

  • Neither. Don't DPS with Mahine guns.

  • Envious and Target lock with Falcons on hunter for the cheeky void explosion damage is my new dps. Can't beat Apex perks

I have killing tally/rampage. But envious assassin/onslaught is just too fun. Pretty sure I have a target lock one too. I'm starting to think people don't think its a good roll unless its shiny.

  • Not bad options but I would use crafted Song of Ur Yut with enhanced Recon and and enhanced TL if going the machine gun way for dps

  • On pantheon atraxs I used hammerhead with rewind target lock and was doing more damage than some players using rockets or grenade launcher on caretaker. Imo I'd go rewind target lock, but high impact reserves is also ok but yet to fully test that roll.

  • 59 rounds standard in a mag. 59/4 is going to be 14 rounds IF you hit all your crits. That you will get for free 59 x .6 = 35 rounds that you get without having to reload. It all depends how good you are at hitting crits. MGs have a terribly long reload time. My idea is rewind rounds only because everyone is not perfect.

Dps would be identical as they output the same damage and fire rate. Hits without reloading I think is also identical because of how the perks work but rewind doesn’t require headshots but takes from reserves. Total damage is fourth times assuming you hit crits as the ammo added is not from reserves but ‘generated’ from thin air.

The DPS is identical because they both have the same damage perk. The difference is that rewind reloads 60% of the mag, from reserves, based on the number of HITS 4th gives you a 50% refund on ammo out of thin air… but only off of CRITS. So, 4th is definitely better ammo economy. Rewind is easier to keep your mag full with bc it’s easier to proc. Oh, and keep in mind that for target lock to be effective, you can’t miss a single bullet and it has to be on the same target. So, it would rarely be very useful. IMO, killing tally is the way to go in that column.

      • I would say the rewind and target lock...you can just hit the boss, champion or mini anywhere and as long has your hitting it you cause damage....fourth time has you hit only the crit spot and then get some ammo back.
