Audio Input For In Game Voice Chat Not Matching My Sound Settings

Hey there, I'm having an issue where the in-game voice chat is not working as it should. The mic input for the game never matches what I have set in settings. I have a stand mic (Elgato Wave 3) which is used as the main audio input for every program on my PC running Windows 11. I have two examples where the input didn't match between my windows settings and inside the game (for both of these my audio settings were the same): 1. On one occasion I was trying to use the in game VC and somehow instead of using my Wave 3 mic is was somehow picking up audio from the mic that is built in to my headset. No matter what i did I couldn't get it to work in that situation. 2. The second and most recent occasion I was trying to use in game VC. instead of picking up the audio from my mic it was somehow using the audio from my discord call. Which included someone else's voice that could be heard in game even though they were not connected via in game VC. (To clarify, they were talking in discord and the in game indicator would activate (other people in the game could hear them and they were not on Discord) without me speaking and I was able to confirm that it wasn't being picked up from my head set through my mic.) I would really like to figure out how to sort out this out. As I have already tried followed the official audio help page and researched multiple articles from Bungie Forums, through Steam Forums, and Reddit. Any assistance from Bungie would be greatly appreciated.
