Gambit has run its course. Onslaught is fresh and new and people seem to be bummed it’s not worth running anymore. How could this work? Take gambit out and replace with onslaught. Each week a focused weapon will be the shiny drop for the week. The normal versions still drop as normal. Add new enemy types, maps, and can easily cycle sunset or world weapons through as well. Add an emblem that is rare or a shader and give it a reputation track. You could still utilize the drifter as the onslaught vendor. Another small option could be increase weapon xp leveling specifically in onslaught so it’s the new way to level guns that is engaging and rewarding.

No. Gambit stays.
-
You know we can have both right!?
-
-
No thank you. Gambit is still fun in small doses.😉
-
I prefer Gambit to Onslaught. I realise this may well be surprising as a lot of people seem to really like Onslaught, but imo Onslaught is not that good. It could definitely do without the teleportation/mini boss run thing every few rounds.
-
Problem is people don't know how to work as a team in a team activity.. no one revives you or is killing at the same time. Always runs from the invader instead of to him. Learn what to do !!
-
I still prefer Gambit to Onslaught. Specially since you cant do direct focus anymore.
-
Agreed
-
Then replace Shaxx with the Drifter and include invasions.
-
Horrible idea back to the drawing board with u
-
-
Lol. What a terrible idea.
-
Don’t think it should replace gambit, but if they brought back the drop focusing for onslaught I’d be more than happy to see it make a comeback
-
That's a fresh idea! Bungie NEW HIRE HERE!! Seriously good idea...

Edited by dilligaf941023: 7/13/2024 7:38:22 PMI’ve seen some videos on how Gambit could be changed and possibly become the best mode in Destiny. The problem is that like the other ritual playlists, it’s f2p. So updates are few and far between. Same goes for Onslaught. It would be nice if it was updated with new weapons, maps, and enemies. We said the same thing about Escalation Protocol, Menagerie, and Dares of Eternity. Fact is, Bungie has no issues charging us for reusing assets but will never update any activity, especially if it’s free.

Edited by GPrime96: 7/15/2024 2:12:14 AMWouldn’t mind that, Gambit has already deteriorated more than the other ritual playlists
-
They won’t. Gambit is tied to lore in the game.
-
Onslaught is boring.
-
I think onslaught as a core mode to be focused on more and updated would be cool. New enemies, new loot, and new challenge waves and mechanics would be awesome.
-
I agree.
-
I do think you could switch the two and make gambit the lesser game mode and make onslaught a ritual activity Gambit isn’t a bad game mode it just needs to be reworked to have more worth it rewards My idea add a combo of flawless trials and grandmaster nightfalls with an adept weapon as the reward so people have more incentive to play you could even reissue some of the sunset weapons that just got brought back

Edited by I’m Vexy And I Know It: 7/14/2024 1:07:22 PMI wouldn’t want it to replace it, but rather give it its own spot. I may not be a fan of gambit, but I feel like I’d get really bored of onslaught within a week
-
Onslought isn't fresh, people spent 2 months grinding it , I was bored after a week It wasn't the hoard mode we have been waiting for , it was another half hearted seasonal copy and paste hoard mode, 50 waves with bosses only at 10 waves, filler rift dunks every 5 rounds, and only 50 waves of a handful of enemies coming from 1 general direction, boring Players should be fighting back to back on wave 1, with difficulty and rewards increasing untill the power differential gets too large to damage enemies Replace Gambit with POE, or a updated Menagerie , or the Coil
-
Oh, please no! Gambit still the best game mode in entire Destiny 2. And I always can fing the players their, so I guess it's not even close to death. Yeah, Bungie gave up on it, but still Gambit have more to offer, than some stand alone online FPSs
-
Replace the whole game for pacman:):)
-
No way there is this many gambit enjoyers lol but I respect your opinions
