It has been bugging me for a while but does anyone else feel like glimmer is practically worthless? They have it capped at 25000 and I keep having to buy stuff I don't really want or need because there just isn't anything to buy with it that is worthwhile. You can by crappy gear that even in play through is worse than what you find or get from mission rewards. So I ask again really why even have it when you can only really buy emblems and I have just about all the ones you can buy now. They dropped the influence you get from buying engrams so buying them is worthless too since the gear is always white quality. Every shop uses a different form of currency so why not have somewhere where we can spend all this wasted glimmer on things that help our character like a currency conversion shop that also sells materials for things like armor and weapons. If not why don't they just get rid of it and make motes of light the currency and just give out more of those since they have little worth as well.

Agree 100% on the ersatz nature of Glimmer. Like tickets at Chuckee Cheeses, all you can buy with Glimmer is crap. All the good stuff requires Strange Coins, Motes of Light, or Faction Marks.

Spend it on green engrams to up your cryptarch rank.
