I agree with the article I took a week off and came back today.
Did Crota normal on my hunter and got TWO NLB (4th and 5th total). I then did Crota on my warlock and got my 4th universal remote and another NLB (total of 6).
I can't get helmets for either or hunger of Crota but I can get THREE NLBs in the span of a two hour and a 4th Universal Remote!
This is why it's dull and stale and frustrating. I have invested hundreds of hours and love a lot about this game but today was frustrating. You can't get what you need/want but you get stuff you don't want in spades.
I look forward to the HoW and especially comet but I'm now more inclined to take more time off.

I got a lot already and I enjoy the game. Just saying that one thing that does make playing frustrating and not enjoyable is getting multiples of the same item and not getting items (helmets) that Bungie has stated was tweaked to drop more often doesn't seem to occur for me. Love the game but it's time for a break.

But that's how they get you to keep playing.... in order to obtain HoC and raid helmets. If you obtained them quickly, what is your incentive to keep playing? Not to play new content (other unexplored worlds, new enemies, etc) because there isn't any.

Oh I get that is an incentive but too many crap RNG rolls and that backfires. Again love the game and I hope they learn to do more in future. My hope though skeptical is that they release comet and it's essentially same level of content as destiny original and the future expansions are more robust with two-three strikes and more story per expansion but I doubt it.

evolve and dying light, and cant [i]not [/i]mention rogue legacy. 2015 is going to be a great year for games, and destiny is not on that list of great.

I got dying light. Having fun there. Looking forward to Arkham asylum. Hope division and quantum game drop this year. Also halo 5.

Yesterday I got 3 NLBs. And can't get raid gauntlets or helm for my hunter. I feel your pain. I know I'm going to burn out soon. I don't want that to happen though.

I'm in the mind set of play maybe once or twice a week at most until one to two weeks prior to HoW drops. Check forums for Xur and do a nightfall and raid here and there.

I think many of us could use a break, and we've been feeling a lack of motivation to play a game that should, and can, be fun. At least there are a handful of games dropping between now and HoW. And it's a good time to catch up on games from this past holiday we may have missed. I still haven't finished far cry or assassin's creed. But I still might pick up evolve tomorrow. I'm weak.

Agreed. It's not a bad thing that destiny is waning for us as we will appreciate AND critic HoW more when it comes out. Also we will be having a blast with the comet expansion.
