Let me give you the background. For my English course we are required to have the book American Short Stories: 1920 To The Present. I had mine for about a few months until I lost it. For the past few months, I've been passing that section of class without the book or with the same book that I borrow from friends.
Some more background. For those of you who read and remember one of my first post, it was about this girl who I'm pretty sure had a crush, or liked me in some kind of way. I'm not retyping that whole thing, but here's the basics. Started in Sophomore year, didn't know how to react/didn't believe it, didn't do anything/still noticed her, thought is still here/still don't know/probably did.
Anyway, I was hanging out with some friends after school today and I happen to come across the book I need for English. I took a look inside of it and it turns out that the book belonged to that girl. I found the book near her locker laying on the floor. Reason I was up there is because some of my friends' lockers are there, as well. I took the book because I needed it for a homework assignment.
You might be wondering now why I think it's a set up. Here's why. Whenever I go to English class, I cross paths with her (her locker is also right next to my class). I know for a fact that she knows I lack the book needed for class. Reason being is because I constantly ask different friends in the hallway everytime (probably has heard me talk about it/ask) and she's seen me get the book from friends (did it today as well). She also knows I go up there usually after school to hang out with said friends, so it's common for me to be up there.
I think the book was possibly purposely left there by her. This might be an effort to have a reason to talk to me about a "missing book." Whether or not she actually wanted for me to take it (maybe just wanted me to find her and give it back), I'm trying to prepare myself for any kind of possibilities and coming up with different solutions for different outcomes. Either way, I took the bait if it was intended.
This Saturday is Valentine's day, so it would make some sense to do it now. The "missing book" idea is a clever one if she was observant. If it's true, then I don't know who's the direct object of the situation (see what I did there). Cheers to that everything works out one way or another.
Edit: Holy shit, I realized that I have English last period tomorrow. That means I'll be right there after school when it's over. We also might not have school Friday depending on how much snow we get, leading straight to the weekend and vacation. If this is planned, -blam!-ing smart.
Along with that, she has the same teacher as me, just in a different class. Meaning we technically got the same homework. She has the class when I have a study. Because of this, I know that she doesn't have English tomorrow and doesn't have to do the homework. If this is part of a plan, then she knows that I still have to do the homework.
What -blam!-ing job requires you to pay special attention to detail? I think I'd make a good living...

Halp!

Ya bro if she's cute give her the book back and put a note in there saying happy valentine or something like that!!! She'll dig it and who knows you might end up really liking eachother
-
You're way overthinking this shit, BUT if she plans something that elaborate just to talk to you she'd probably easily plan a way to slaughter you.

Give her the book back, slip a note in it saying "Valentines Day: 7pm at *nice restaurant near you*" ("wan sum fuk" optional) Possible outcomes: 1) She turns up: 1.1) You spend the rest of your lives together 1.2) You date for a bit and then break 1.3) You get sum fuk and that's it 2) She doesn't turn up: 2.1) It's dead awkward forever between you two 2.2) There's no awkwardness as she hasn't read the note 2.3) Unfortunately you were wrong in her liking you and everyone in school knows.
Nah that's a wet way to play it. If I were you I'd give it her back and spark up conversation. Get to know her a bit and get chatting, maybe hang out and breaks and then finger her
Or she just lost her book, lol.

I don't know but here's what I'd do. Buy here something for valentines day (chocolate, flowers, etc.) and then also wrap the book up in wrapping paper and give it to her for valentines day.

If that really was a set-up, that's so -blam!-ing adorable ^_^
-
She's giving you hints bruh.
And as someone else said, that is adorable af.

I think the book was possibly purposely left there by her.
Lol, prolly not!

Who knows...maybe...good luck though man. Girls can do some pretty incredible things so it's definitely possible. Do you like her back?
