Venation III - Now the most popular legendary hand cannon in Destiny*
* At least according to my rewards this week, anyway ;)
I have had every other legendary HC in the game, with the exception of the Fatebringer, but this thing is raining down on me this week. Two from Nightfalls and one from Dead Orbit rank level up; that's just from Tuesday and Wednesday.
1 - Rangefinder, Explosive Rounds, 3rd Eye
2 - Zen moment, Explosive Rounds, Final Round
3 - Return to Sender, Field Scout, 3rd Eye
They appear to be genericly mediocre hand cannons, 8 round mags, so-so stats all the way down the line. The second one might be OK in PVP, but I can't see it being better than one of my Timur's Lash HC. The third one might make a serviceable place holder/plinker for patrol/bounty/lower level stuff.
Should I keep any of them, and if so, which one? Or recycle them all?
And Bungie, WTF is wrong with your "RNG" that three of these could fall to anyone in 2 years of playing, let alone 2 days?

I've kinda got your third one (grenadier instead of third eye - meh) and love it. With field scout it's 13 rounds, so between that and return to sender it could be renamed Unlucky for Some.

1 Replysuch is the nature of RNG, improbable=/=impossible. as a long-time venation wielder, Im jelly of ur first one, as rangefinder lets you snipe with it, and explosive rounds are such fun. other two are meh in my opinion.

I had one of those since dlc dropped, never used it much and finally dismantled it once I got fatebringer and woc. Seemed decent but paled in comparison to the fb.

I just got fatebringer finally and word of crota so I can't compare em yet. But I love my vanetion 111. Spray n play explosive rounds n mulligan. The mulligan could be better. But between hand cannon gauntlets and spray n play u miss literally one shot reloading. And that impact with explosive rounds is just sick. If I ever am lucky enough to get the same rolls but say last rnd random bullet or glass half full instead of mulligan I prob wouldn't ever use another primary

Yeah Venation is definitely the HC I get the most. Once I got 3 in 2 weeks from nightfalls. I'd keep the rangefinder one but I'm not real big on explosive rounds.
