Elaborate because I don't see anything interesting about a wannabe Hoth

Edited by Fox: 2/13/2015 2:26:21 AMAlthough europa is made of ice, under its surface is likely liquid. Friction caused by Jupiter's gravitational pull causes enough heat to essentially create a giant ocean spanning most of the moon. An astrophysicist named Neil Degrass Tyson has a youtube video about it. The movie Europa Report was based on the idea, but it is scientifically backed and entire possible that life could have evolved under the icy surface.

So the rotation causes the friction eh?
-
Edited. It's caused by stress from Jupiter's gravity. I typed too fast without checking... my bad. Also, regarding titan, there are liquid lakes of methane which could hold life, as crazy as that may be.
-
Why is that crazy? Also, they're planets not "moon"
-
Europa and titan are moons... of Jupiter and Saturn respectively. And methane based life is a little bit of a leap considering we only know of water based life.
