Let me start off by saying I do not have a gjallarhorn. Do I want one? Absolutely! Would I buy it if Xur sold? You bet your ass I would! Would I rather "earn" it? Yes. Drops are not[i] earned[/i] in Destiny, though, it's complete sheer luck. I do the nightfall every week,i complete the vault on hard every week, I do the death singer and kill Crota every week. By the logic of the "earners" these tasks give you the right to have a gjallahorn. But like I said I do not. Why are the "earners" so adamant about Xur not selling the gun? I believe it's because they want you to experience the euphoria of that covered gun finally doing that they once felt. It's not a matter of actually earning the gun, anyone who had completed a nightfall our opened an exotic chest had met the requirements to" earn" it, it is the matter of experiencing the drop. Here's to hoping that one day we can all experience the drop and stop the useless arguing over"earning" and "xurning".
