Supers and rockets don't get the damage multiplier like your normal weapons do from times vengeance. One shot from a black hammer does 15-18,000 damage while one golden gun does 5,000. Snipers are always the best to use on atheon. Never use supers or rocket or grenade on Atheon, they make him move making it hard to crit him.
