Stop shooting Valus Ta'aurc the second he walks in.
I see this every time I play this strike. The fat bastard busts through the doors, spraying his gun, and people immediately unload all their heavy ammo. Have you not played the strike before? You do realise he has an abnormaly long period of invulnerability, right?
By the way, his invulnerability wears off when the door behind him finishes closing. If you're still not sure, test with your primary before wasting your heavy.

1 ReplyFirst time I did the strike a guy nova bombed him right as he came out and he walked back into his door and it closed with him inside. He teleported back out when the invulnerability period ended, but it was probably the funniest moment I've had in Destiny and I try to recreate it every time I play the strike.

11 RepliesYou guys have it all wrong. Before the door closes, get in the center of the circle and face Valus. Tap UP/DOWN/SIDEWAYS/DIAGONAL twice, this will initiate a dialogue. It should go like this: VALUS: GGGRRRRMMMMGGRRMMMAARRGH! You: Hello good Sir! Beautiful day on Mars isn't it. Valus: MMMGGRRRMWORGGG! You: Heard your mom calling you from down below Valus: MmrrGrr? You: No really, not kidding The large Cabal will then head to the edge of the cliff to go check for his mommie, you and your fellow Guardians will then gently push him off to his death, works every time.

That makes it so he goes back behind the doors that he just came out of ... when the door closes no one can kill him and the strike is a wipe lol, I t-baged his dead body and went to orbit ... Have a nice day :) Not my video but this is pretty much what happened lol

Invulnerability wears off sometime between when the door starts to close and when it actually closes. Just tested this. However this may be due to lag I confess.

Holy shit I totally know where you're coming from man. Time I do this it never ceases to feel that there is some idiot who unload his entire machine gun into Vollis before the doors close. and even better way to test to make sure fees involved and still is to just toss a grenade at him.

I usually shoot single bullets every 1 second or so until it stops say immune. Then rockets
