I am against homosexuality because it is morally wrong. It goes against what we were created to be and it's a mockery towards God. But if you don't believe in God it makes sense that you would think homosexuality is OK.

Edited by KiNg_george19: 2/18/2015 3:44:38 PMHere's what I'm wondering and I'm sure y'all can clear this up for me... So everyone of you who has responded to my comment would most likely call yourself tolerant. Tolerant of homosexuals and the like. You say they can do/think what they like and we should all love and accept them they way they are. Ok. So why can you not tolerate me? Isn't it the same difference of why I don't tolerate gays? You tolerate gays because you believe it isn't wrong but you are hateful towards those who don't share your view. What's the difference? I for one do not hate gays and I hope my words did not come off as hateful towards them. But at the same time I will say that it is wrong. That is not hateful. My opinion on homosexuality is a very, very unpopular one. I get much hate for how I feel about it. And its hate from all of those who declare that we should love and accept everyone just the way we are. So what makes me an exception?
-
There's a distinct line between agreeing and tolerating. You have your own opinion and by all means I respect and tolerate that you abide by that mindset, but that doesn't mean anyone has agree with what you're saying.
-
And of course I don't ask for everyone to agree with me. I just ask for civility.
-
Well, here's how I would respond to that, though I can't speak for others. I do tolerate you, though I disagree with your opinion. Another important clarification: your stance is an opinion, and homosexuality is not. As a result, your opinion on this matter essentially seems to be to ostracize others based on what they cannot control, based on belief, and belief alone. I disagree with you, then, because in my opinion, people should be able to live their lives how they want, but your opinion would directly contradict this. Frankly, I don't care what you actually think or believe, it's your life. But once that results in someone else's entire lifestyle having to change, when it really can't, then there's a problem. tl;dr, I do in fact tolerate you, but I don't tolerate it when the idea results in someone else being marginalized for who they are
-
I guess I feel kind of the same way. The only reason I posted about it was because he asked for opinions. I really don't bring up the topic of homosexuality unless I'm asked because its pretty touchy. But each person has a choice in what they believe and how they live. And that's cool. I just hate when I get hated on for my views by people that are telling me I should be less hateful haha.

God also states that eating shellfish and pork is an abomination. Do you partake?
-
-
I believe you're an idiot. There is NO God.
-
Being gay is as "morally wrong" as eating bacon.
-
I think it a disease.
-
Can you catch gay off someone?
-
Can you catch Cancer off someone?
-
You can expose yourself to cancer causing agents and get cancer as a result. What would turn you gay?
-
I would never turn into a disgusting -blam!-
-
So then it's not a disease

You're an incredibly ignorant person.

Edited by LeperOfLeopards: 2/18/2015 12:59:01 AMThe bible has been translated and edited (particularly the King James Version) hundreds of times to fit in with a single churches standards. The fact that a single delusional king who thought himself hand-picked by God had the authority to mend anything is crazy in itself. I could imagine that there is some original content left over in the King James Version, but the majority of its strict and overbearing themes are not to be taken literally. Let me also comment that the beginning of the Old Testament is often thought to be fiction. The method of creation, whether "He" created two or one hundred at one time, is a simpleton theory.
-
"Created to be"...?
-
Wrong how?
-
If you don't believe in God or creationism then you won't agree with what I have to say. Saying that, Gods creation is perfect. He made a man to be with a woman. Anything other is mockery towards Him. In the Bible He says that homosexuality is an abomination. Saying that you are gay is saying that God didn't make you right, where in reality, God made you perfect. God also created procreation and with homosexuality you cannot procreate. And God does not hate gay people. I believe His heart breaks over them as does mine. But homosexuality goes against everything God is. And like I said, if you don't believe in God you won't agree with what I have to say.
-
What if God wanted there to be gay people?
-
But he doesn't. He calls homosexuality an abomination. He didn't create anyone gay. Its always a choice.
