Is buying Exotics from Xur "Earning" them?
If you voted yes, no, or kinda, comment below why or why not it is or is not "earning". After seeing so much controversy on this subject I want to see what some people have to say, you are all entitled to your opinions so have at it Guardians!!!

Yes It Does, Because u Earn The Strange Coins To Buy The Exotics.

Since you are guaranteed strange coins from weekly, and xur is guaranteed to come on Friday, I guess so.

It's earned just as much as getting exotics from raids, nightfalls, legendary engrams, or pvp and strikes. So if you view any of them as "earning", then the rest are. The only thing I view as actually earning, is the exotic bounty weapons.

Who gives a crap as to what players buy from Xur. If he has a good exotic, I would buy it.

Any way you get an exotic in this game is by the means of earning it. If you buy something from xur, it's through the means of strange coins. You had to do a tedious strike to get the coins, therefore you earned the coins and you merely redeemed the weapon in exchange for the earned coins. If you get an exotic from a legendary engram, you had to kill an enemy to get the engram. No matter what means you get them by, you earn your exotic, unless you're one of the cum guzzling f*ggots who afk vanguard strikes and get good shit out of it

2 weekly heroics to get enough strange coins for exotic weapons (3 for primary weapons), or get lucky from 1 weekly nightfall strike..

If buying exotics isn't earning them then everything you own wasn't earned cause you bought it with money

Yeah coins are easy to get if you have 3 characters and unlimited gaming time but not everyone is so lucky. You worked towards a specific goal and you did specific things to get there. You got it as a drop? You didn't earn shit. You happened to get something awesome by sheer luck of the draw while doing something you were gonna do anyway. The only way to EARN gear in the game is through Marks, Exotic Bounties and Xur. Thats it. Beyond that its nothing but pure dumb luck of the draw.

You earn your strange coins as you are doing something in game that actually has a definite loot drop at the end which would probably be the only thing that's actually earner in this game, besides exotic bounties but even then it's completely random if you get one or not

But on the other side I'd say that technically acquiring 27 coins is earning, it's not very hard at all. I mean I like xur and all but I can see how he impacts the game due to a sudden flood of weapons that can lead to crys for nerfs.

It's hard to say for me, I think earning and buying are 2 different things. You for sure earn strange coins in the weekly but then you buy the stuff from Xur and he is RNG for the most part so. I'm half and half.
