These posts need to die. All they do is create a divide in the community.

Selfishness, ignorance and self-entitlement create the divide. These threads aren't to blame

They don't help the problem either.

I beg to differ. In my eyes it's a success if one person looks at the results and thinks: "hey, why doesn't 80% of people think like me? Maybe I am in fact wrong in holding that opinion" then evaluates themselves and changes their opinion. It'll make them an overall better and more successful person, quicker.

Of course but I believe the self-entitlement view they hold in games would also be prevalent in their real lives. The main issue I have with the overall community is that a lot of them resent other players for having their coveted exotics. This goes against the principle of Destiny, in that the success of other players - whether that be loot or in-game achievements - do not detrimentally affect anyone else, in any sense other than that specific person's self-worth

So does a discussion about pancakes, Sun sets, puppies, and breathing. What's your point? It's the interwebs, The breading ground for ass hattery.

Anyone that doesn't like any of those things you listed is a dumb

Right? But there are those that do. Hell, there's people out there that don't like bacon. That's not right.
