  • It's core cooled and it lost it's magnetic field. If it got struck by something, there would be evidence. Take mercury, huge crater on once side and a mountain range created by the kinetic energy on the other side.

  • There is evidence of something hitting it. During its development it got hit by an object about the size of Texas and that shook off its magnetic feels and water.
