Ah, just forgot to list it. That was the first exotic i ever got
-
people like you are lucky, that's all there is to it lol
-
I agree 100% it is extremely lucky, and nothing more than that. I hate the people who think any of their weapons are "earned." The only exotic you can say you actually earned is the Vex, and that's only because it's the only exotic (besides Nechro) that you need to accomplish a certain goal for a chance to receive it. I did Atheon probably 30 times before it finally dropped, and i will say i earned that weapon lol. But i do play mostly all PvE only, so i run both raids 3x a week and do Nightfalls as well, so i get a good amount of chances for exotic drops
-
just because YOU got it all doesn't mean it doesn't work like that. as i said in my post, it's all about profiles. some gets everything, some doesn't get squat.
-
My point isn't that just because i received all of them it's like that for everyone. But to say some profiles are "doomed" (for lack of a better term) to not get rewarded certain exotics sounds pretty ridiculous. Everyone has the exact same RNG drop rate as everyone else does. There isn't a certain weapon drop assigned to specific players. Everything is random. I also have been a daily player since day 1, and do raids and nightfalls 3x a week, so i get many chances for exotic drops.
-
well, you are entitled to your opinion. and of course you don't agree, cause you have gotten all the shit. like many others. who was predestined to get all. that's how i think it works.
-
Ok, so since another player has received weapons that you have not, that means that specific players are just destined to receive them, while others are not? And it just has to be that way, because you haven't received them so that's the only explanation? How about realizing it's 100% RNG, and you just haven't received them..? You know, like, how the game works? Players don't start out just guaranteed specific weapon drops... It is 100% RNG, and that is a fact. Why can you not accept that, and have to come up with some theory as to why you haven't received weapons that other players have? Like how it truly works out?...... =/
The game is 100% RNG. No player is assigned a better chance than others. It is RANDOM. Luck of the roll of the dice, nothing more.
-
well, i believe certain things are RNG. but not certain weapons. and you are pointing out that i am wrong, but how can you be certain that RNG is 100% true? we both claim things we can't can't prove ;)
-
But it truly is the way the game works. It's the entire system that Destiny is based upon. Listen, i'm really not trying to be rude or anything of the sort, as i feel it may sound like i am... Just trying to explain; every reward in Destiny is completely up to RNG. Whether it be the engrams you receive from a Strike, or the end reward drops from a Raid. The game's system does a type of "dice roll" and whatever it lands on is what you receive. Even down to things like decrypting your engrams from the Cryptarch. You turn in your engram and it does the "dice roll" and rewards you with whatever item you receive. This is pretty basic knowledge of the game's reward system. Haven't you noticed how everything everyone talks about when speaking of rewards always refers to RNG/RNGesus? Because that is what determines what reward you'll get. I'm sure there is some info directly from Bungie stating that their reward system is RNG, as i find it almost impossible that the community has just all decided that it must be RNG. The info is out there, and the reward system is 100% RNG. If you choose to still believe it does not work this way, give it some more time and you'll realize sooner or later... If there was any other way to receive a reward other than RNG, i'm sure someone would have figured it out by now and know how to work it to their favor. If people can figure out ways to cheese the raids right after they were released, they would surely have figured out the reward system by now. But, alas, it's 100% random.
-
ok, there are some issues here... first off, i didn't take engrams in to the equation. especially not legendary, cause, honestly, we know they're unfair (who wants ascendants?) i surely belive that the engrams are RNG... though legendary engram RNG might come off unfair in most cases. and, yeah, there are many people swearing to RNG, but i've never seen Bungie confirm it 100%... that's why i don't swallow it that easy
-
Did you buy your first G-horn? I sometimes wonder if they increase the drop rate once you already have it.
-
No, i skipped out on my chance to buy it when he sold it =/ i looked at it and thought, "exotic rocket launcher? What would i ever want that for, i'm not wasting my exotic slot on that..." Then i received my first one from a legendary engram and found out how wrong i was... The other 2 i received were from the raids. I just received my 3rd about 3 weeks ago from Crota drop
