Playstation Messenger is Garbage
Sony thinks it's OK to deliver messages 8 hours after they are sent.
This drives me nuts.
How do we organize groups when we can't message people? This forum is great, but not everyone uses it on a mobile device while on ps4.
Has anyone come up with an alternative that works?

Agreed. my psn messages seem to come and go anywhere between 10 minutes to 8 hours as well. I typically use Google Hangouts or Line to keep on the up and up with my Destiny friends.

Our clan uses Hip chat. Works very well for those members who can't hear so well, and it's free!

I use google hangout with friends I play. That works quite well for us - of course, they are my friends/co-workers I personally know them, but I think you can open google account just for this purpose too (if you are playing with strangers).

Not practical for all but a few guys I play with ( and really trust) have my cell number. They text me .
