You can never solo the weekly heroic again
How does it feel? I'm honestly very upset. Once it drops I won't be able to duo it with one friend now (or solo), we have to:
1) drag a horrible player through
2) deal with an afk player
3) ugh
What do you guys think? I want an optional no matchmaking button. Is it that hard?

Lol. Much better to see these complaints than the reasonable complaints of not having matchmaking. Eager to see this extend to raids and nightfalls.

Didn't Deej say they were upping the difficulty of the weekly as well?

I like being able to solo stuff, but I think this will be good to speed up the weekly. I honestly don't do it except maybe once a week anymore if I feel I need the strange coinage.

I don't mind it I like the idea kinks will arise but altogether its good. I am suck sometimes without bcuz friends list people don't do no burn or I can't get party.

I like to glimmer farm the 24 weekly after beating the 30. I don't care about having to team up to beat it the first time, but forcing us to matchmake is a piss off

I usually like to solo the nightfalls on my three characters every week honestly I rather like not having to solo the weekly too. running the same strike 6 times alone is tedious as hell and half of the time, the weeklys don't have the burn that the nightfall has, making it take twice as long solo

Ok so for everyone saying just start it and have the other two people leave... that won't work, it'll be just like the strike playlist, once one person leaves matchmaking will automatically add another person after a couple minutes... So NO it's not as easy as asking someone to leave

Solo the Nightfall.

Mess with your router until you have Strict NAT, then your connection won't be good enough to connect to anyone else and you can host your own session. May also work if you run a bunch of torrents, get the missus to watch Netflix and stream videos or music to your phone. I know people were using the strict NAT option early on to farm materials without interruptions. I guess it would work with strikes too.

But if you are upset you can't solo it because you will have an afk guy or a bad player with you then I don't get what the big deal is. The afk guy is helping you get exactly what you want. Also a poor player adds the extra challenge of getting revives. Edit: seems to me the worst possible scenario for you would be getting matched up with good players.

doesnt matter,. as lon g as the matchmaking is fair you dont get lumbered with hangers or easy kill machines.

I hate this because my clan mates and I would start it solo then just jump in after we finish whatever we are doing. The matchmaking in the Vanguard strikes is brutal 90% of the time. It's going to suck in the weekly too.

I would always start it solo and end up with a friend or 2 joining. We run the same strats and such. Now I forsee mass chaos and non team strats occurring . I guess what I will have to do is just no revive when the half tarded teammate goes down. I'll just wait until they are booted for inactivity then go in my way. If that will even work

2 RepliesEasy solution. Join team of randoms. Go afk and message them tell them you want to solo it and ask them to politely leave and find new team. Now go and enjoy your weekly solo.

One way to make it better would be a way to boot random people that AFK like the other two players have to both press boot player before it happens.

I still get to solo even after the update drops because even though I have open nat and I have tried everything on my end to fix it. I have no matchmaking open to me. I solo the strike playlist and never get a match in cruicible. Even though I can play any other matchmaking game just fine. Only way I can run cruicible is to team up with friends. Also its just an option to use the matchmaking. Just team up like you used to and run it. I don't understand the problem.
