You can never solo the weekly heroic again
How does it feel? I'm honestly very upset. Once it drops I won't be able to duo it with one friend now (or solo), we have to:
1) drag a horrible player through
2) deal with an afk player
3) ugh
What do you guys think? I want an optional no matchmaking button. Is it that hard?

It's a step in the right direction. But I'd like to be able to opt into matchmaking. I enjoy solo challenges too

Optional would be better, but this way works good too. Nightfalls can still be solo'd. Optional would be necessary if implemented for raids however.

You could tamper with your internet connection to get your own weekly strike lobby. It would violate the Guardian code of contact but it seems as if Destiny is not enforcing that because 1/4 of Crucible players get away with their lag. Try setting your console 100 feet away from your wireless router and put a fine mesh strainer on top of your console to block as much internet signal as possible just like Crucible players do for a PvP advantage.

1 ReplyWhat I don't understand is their hatred for giving us options and letting us choose how we want to play. Sometimes I want to solo because that's how I like that strike. Other times its one I'm not a fan of and getting other people speeds it up or at least makes it more interesting. Why you hate options Bungie?!

You can totally do it solo still have 2 friends join and let them get rewards for your effort. They can just stay where you spawn in.

its not such a big deal for me. the weekly is just something to do if u need the s coins. if u wanna do a solo run just do it on the nightfall
