The kid was naive, the punishment didn't fit the crime Kirmit perpetrated a malicious and harmful act against a fellow player I suspect Kirmit is a sociopath and is, or will be a menace to society

  • I like your vocabulary choices. But I don't agree with your statement.

  • I completely stand by my position that kirmit in all likelihood is a sociopath. The lack of compassion, the deliberate attack on innocence, and flagrant disregard for a fellow human being are all indicators of a deeply disturbed individual This kind of behavior doesn't happen overnight, it's a pattern of progression, and will only escalate without intervention The bigger issue is what damage is kirmit doing outside of the digital world The kid and his parents made a mistake, no doubt about that, and I suspect they have a lot to discuss going forward But what of kirmit? His punishment must fit his crime

  • Yep agreed. Although the young un has learned a lesson and in my opinion should not get all of his deleted items back. The adult who did this needs a ban. I agree it wasn't done as a moral crusade against cheating but was an intentional act to hurt

  • Yeah, that's a hard lesson, and better now, in a video game, than 10 or 20 years from now, and he loses his home or life savings It's unfortunate that his parents didn't teach him about Internet safety. Maybe they did and he ignored it. Can only speculate on that one I don't think he should get his stuff back just like that. If he has learned his lesson, then the slate is clean, and many in the community will assist him in rebuilding his characters. And hopefully, we can all build some depth of character in our gaming community.

  • Protecting humanity is never big enough, and when people settle down in the face of injustice, evil prevails

  • :-) you certainly have lit a fire! I'm a peaceful conversationalist so you won't catch flak from me. I'm passionate about the beautiful things in life because I've worked with at risk kids and broken adults for years. I'm quick to stand and defend the eloquent spirit of innocence that is such a large part of the youthful condition. The horror stories I've heard and things I've seen, good lord, humans can reach some dark places But there is also immense good and kindness in people Yes, I'm aware that a kid got his video game characters deleted, and it's not the end of the world, but I still feel the punishment far outweighs the crime I'm grateful for the post, and your approach to the dialogue, thank you
