Oh right so if someone is naive enough to follow a killer into an ally it's there fault they got murdered. Not the guy with the knife.

  • No but when someone is dumb enough to try to pick up a hooker and it turns out to be an undercover cop they still go to jail now don't they?

  • The difference here being the undercover cop also vandalized his house

  • And the cop is a law enforcement officer. You know the people that the law authorizes to enforce the law...

How so? He punished him for trying to cheat. He took something related to the game he was trying to cheat in away from him.

  • Due process. In the example, the cop is witnessing a crime being committed in his/her presence (solicitation). Ergo, he can arrest the suspect without an arrest warrant. The accused will not be punished by the cop personally, there will be a judicial proceeding.

  • I'm not saying that it was kirmits place to dole out the justice but simply stating to those who don't understand that cuckoo got what he deserved. There is not due process in situations like these. Bungie doesn't have the time to police every single situation like this. Most people would say they are wasting valuable time that could be spent on improving the game if they tried. At what point do people think its ok for an individual to punish a cheater when given the opportunity? I guarantee that if someone had been able to trick the original crota lag switcher into share playing his account and deleting his characters everyone would be applauding that person. Because the kid is 11 (which by esrb standards is too young to play this game) he is allowed to try to cheat his way through? Where is the line drawn?
