I guess i shall enlighten you on actual science. Moons are basically smaller, rockier versions of planets orbiting a larger planet. Please know what you're talking about before you try to sound smart.

He was more or less right. "Moon" can be a generic word used to describe smaller bodies that orbit planets. All moons are satellites but not all satellites are moons.
