I'd recommend One Piece. Out of all the mainstream anime (Bleach/Naruto/Fairytale etc) One Piece is by far the best. Its really boring at first, but once you hit Arlong Park (episode 40?) it starts to pick up. Enies Lobby and Sabaody Arc are the greatest anime arcs I've ever seen. So much emotion and great fight scenes.
