Ike and Samus, no competition from the rest.
Samus is unique in her playstyle to me. You have to save your projectiles for just the right moment, and they can be devastating and satisfying. Her bombs can throw off people waiting for you to fall into their attacks. Most of her attacks, in air or on ground, are STRONG.
While we're talking about STRONG, Ike. Obviously. Dude's a powerhouse. EVERY attack can kill, and all have their specific uses. It's so satisfying to hit a fast character with one powerful smash attack and watch him go flying. It feels like you're truly outsmarting your opponent when you use a character as slow as Ike. Plus, the counter is always fun ;)

I'm a literal goddess when I play as Samus, it's very rare when I do poorly using her. I always either win or get a very close second when I'm playing using Samus, it all depends on what other characters the other players are using or who I'm fighting against. Ike is a -blam!-ing beast...I mean the dude's got everything, he's fast moving (though sure, some of his attacks are slower than his actual movement speed), he has good jump, good range, [i]excellent[/i] launch ability, and of course there's the fact that every single one of his moves packs a truly massive punch. All around one of the better fighters in the game, though I've never quite seemed to get the hang of him :/

He takes some solid practice, and a lot of lost matches to get a feel for his playstyle. Playing him is kinda like playing Dark Souls, you have to bait out attacks and punish, or just have spot on timing. I usually play Samus to start (because of that goddess-like feeling you mentioned), and if I have an idea of how the person I'm playing plays, I'll switch to Ike.

He certainly does, I've only really had the chance to fight as him against the computer though, and the computer is always way too easy to beat/stand up against, even if you do wind up losing :P I can never really gauge how good I am at using a character until I've played at least a couple matches against actual human opponants. Samus has always been my best character, and she was actually the first character I ever used way back in the original too ^^' I've come a very long way since that one time playing the original Smash Bros. at a friend's house, a very long way indeed...nowadays I usually win or get very close to winning (provided it's a character I'm any good with that is) every match, especially if I'm using Samus.

Sometimes I like using him against a level 9 little mac. Sure, it's frustrating, but when I triumph, it's just great.

I loved playing as ike. It was extremely satisfying to watch them run up to you as you're charging your sword and then send them flying
