Backseat Swordrunners

Its getting under my skin more and more each week when someone who doesn't use the sword and is not that experienced with the raid attempts to give advice on how many times to hit Crota when he's down, what button combination is best, or my personal favorite every time I approach Crota: "Let us know when to shoot!". No shit, kid. Bungie, this is your fault. From each player's name in a fireteam lobby, we should be able to access the most basic stats like how many normal/hard raid completions a player has and how many sword kills a person has. This would prevent those ever-annoying backseat swordrunners and newbs in general from trying to assert themselves over people who have real experience. It would also be a nice show-off aspect of the game since everyone and their mom has the glowhoo shader by now. Give us SOMETHING to differentiate our achievements!! Well, being experienced comes with a price. That being the fact that you'll know what to do and to expect.. It's a price because you'll know when people are off the deep end when it comes to raiding. So my advice isn't to worry about stats being viewable in game, it's to understand the flow of the game as it is happening with your teammates. Take control of the fireteam and lead them. Yeah at first you'll have someone who is (in their head anyways) usually lead, but you wait and listen. When things get harry you take charge. Use your experience as a positive tool, because if you are just complaining about them sucking and not guiding them you are just as much of a liability in the raid as they are. Yes it's annoying to hear people that "think" they know how to run sword but honestly it's best they are trying to stay in the zone with what's going on. Just assign them positions and jobs and make them focus on their one job. They won't "backseat sword" as you put it . They will understand what is expected of them and do their best. Your job as the experienced player is to adjust to everyone else. We adapt as players. Alright little brother, - Sin P.s: this is 2015, if you don't have a smart phone and can't check stats rapidly. That isn't bungies fault. They did a damn good job in most aspects if you look at the whole. It's a live game, meaning if they implement anything now it has the possibility to cause massive errors in everything else. #teamwork #captain-oh-captain #mlg-lol
