IMO Going the PC gaming route saves you money in the long run. And it's really easy to google how to build an inexpensive pc that can play modern games, and Steam is the bee's knees. Also if we didn't have consoles all games would be developed for PC which would save developers and their customers A LOT of money. Just my opinion.
