During the spire, there's a dead portal under the middle sync plate... Does this have any secret to it? Does it have anything to do with the dead portal during the jump puzzle

what if somehow you turn them on? Like you leave one person outside and the other 5 finish the raid. Then the portal opens, you walk through it. You appear at the jumping maze. Then you go to that room from there! and maybe... theres a chest. speculation is fun!

It is, isn't it?

See that I have noticed myself. It kills me wondering why it's there and what it means. It could just be for design but it also could not. Same goes for the one in the jump puzzle. That one seems so ominous and not worthless. Can't tell, though.

Edited by Jcaf8: 2/23/2015 12:36:55 AMYup. If maybe you have to do something during the spire part that opened it... Or the two portals are connected, maybe we'll never know. In likelyhood it's just design

There was something I heard mentioned though I can't quote it not where I heard it but it vaguely said that there were 6 sync plates across Venus, the three obvious ones the one you guys have just mentioned the one where you spawn in the gate lord. What would happen if the biggest secret to the vault actually lay outside of it?

The VoG unlike Crota's End actually starts you in an area where you could go explore the rest of Venus (and you can also get into VoG from Patrol if you come across a team doing the raid). Maybe there are additional areas or chests that spawn elsewhere on Venus when you start from the raid or maybe additional chests that you can only get from entering the Vault from patrol?

I heard about things in the gate lord area. When you walk near that research center and the gate lord area, you will notice that there are vex spawning there that are even the same level as the level vault you are playing. Seems kinda weird to spawn some vex there? Maybe a lead? This can all be looked at while launching the VOG.

Though i really like these ideas, i have to correct you on this one. You see, all non-public areas will have the same level enemies as the mission you started. This is an old trick for completing the Pocket Infinity Bounty, you need to make kills during nightfall, if soloing it with a fusion is too hard for you, you can just start it, and go to an opposite direction and find an easier non-public area to make your kills. They will be the same level and the modifiers like burns will be active.

I'm doing that bounty currently and my stupid ass never thought to try that. Dude I swear if it still works Im might cry, thank you so much lmao
-
Nope. Doesn't work. Dammit
-
With this being said what about the areas where there are level 30 vex just on Venus (not sure if it's classed as a "public area") but there's the place where two axis Minotaurs are and behind them the narrow staircase to where beyond it level 30 vex are.

Most probably entrance to new strike for upcoming dlc.

Edited by TheElf452: 2/23/2015 12:43:45 AMIt's also the same with the dead ghost in the gate lord area (on top of all the rocks) even once you've gotten it when you load up the vault of glass you can get it again although this time it has a more golden tint to it. Depending on the grimoire behind it, it could be another hint.

Edited by Halo: 2/23/2015 12:44:48 AMFunny. I saw that today. I believe the card was Darkness.
