Has anyone investigated the potential significance of the supplicants that spawn during Atheon?
It might be just a goose chase, but I always found it interesting that the game logs how many supplicants each player has killed at the death screen.
Oracles I can understand based on their relevance to the team wiping, but why supplicants?
Has it been tested defeating Atheon without directly destroying any supplicants? Eg either bubbling to prevent being killed whilst opening portals, or letting them destroy themselves with their suicide attack?

Maybe somebody has to kill 7 hobgoblins, 7 oracles, and 7 supplicants

Same thing happens during oracles, scoreboard shows how many hobgoblins killed

This is true, I had thought about that. But if the Imgur source is being interpreted correctly, it seems narrowed down to the Atheon fight/throne room. If we presume that time's vengeance is triggered upon the game registering 7 oracles being destroyed, then it's possible that a certain amount of supplicants being destroyed/not being destroyed could trigger something else.

Hm. True. Interesting thoughts.
