Things we know:
1. When teleported by atheon to the past or present, it's an exact replica of the Atheon room.
2. this would imply the room still functions the same, regardless of being past or present.
3. After opening the correct portal, players in the present can actually go into the portal and help kill oracles, as long as one person remains outside to keep the portal open.
4. After Times Vengence, the Relic disappears. 25 second buff.
Things to think about:
1. Does the Relic Still disappear if it stays in the place you were teleported?
2. Can the portal be activated by the people that were teleported? What about the opposite portal?
3. If the portal can be activated, what happens when you run into the opposite portal instead of the correct one?
After exiting the portal (normally), instead of fighting atheon, what happens if the relic holder entered the opposite portal in the present time (ex- teleport to the past, kill oracles, exit portal back into the present, go into future portal).
One final note, time stops after you kill atheon, it's not a bug. Bungie was made aware of this and specificly stated it was not a bug.
Therefore you are neither in past, present nor future, because time has stopped, it has become a fixed point in time. Frozen in the moment. Now apply some of that info to the lore cards . . .
