For many video games are their much needed escape from reality. They are their night at the bar, football in the backyard with friends, the book you dive into....as such the golden rule applies and unfortunately we need moderators to enforce that. The plain fact is video games are important to people and because others don't see it as important it doesn't mean the issue isn't worth addressing
