Use the postmaster to store weapons. Go into raids with all weapons slots full and any drops will go straight to the postmaster. You can then leave the weapons with the postmaster until you want to use / upgrade / dismantle them.
Certainly makes it more interesting the next time you visit the postmaster. Visited and found a vex and other exotics. lol.
