Here's an idea me and Winter's Bane cooked up in the, " Gunnery Sergeant Buck to become a Spartan IV?" thread.
JJ1042: Laskey, anyone?
Winter's Bane: What, as a Spartan?
JJ1042: Sure.? Maybe as an ODST?
Winter's Bane:I would love to play another ODST game, what about Cadmon Lasky's story as a bonus episode, fighting the insurrectionists.
Thomas Lasky could have done one before Halo 4, this wouldn't make sense for Halo 5. It's a cool idea and in sci-fi anything is possible. If they set it just after forward unto dawn when Chief meets Thomas Lasky
Chief was 15 then.
This meeting could have inspired Thomas to break rank of his family's plan of becoming a military leader into and becoming a Spartan. With his mothers high rank it's likely she could have got Thomas into a special Spartan program.
However he struggled in the cryosleep chambers and had bad reactions, interesting to see if he would cope with augmentations involved in becoming a Spartan.
Thomas is a likeable character, Chief saved him when the covenant attacked the Corbulo Academy and Thomas returned the favour in Halo 4.
JJ1042: Did we just create a wonderful idea?
Winter's Bane: Yup. =}
So, whaddya think?
