Well the game is rated T for Teen so technically he shouldn't be playing it anyway. Also he shouldn't be online without supervision but that's his parents being failures.
Doesn't matter if he "knew better" or not. He agreed to the same ToS as you and I and everyone.
Was it a harsh lesson? Yes
Do I feel bad for him? Not even a little. Serves him right IMHO.
