Why the hell is this even a big issue? People get brutally injured or even killed on film and that conversation lasts for about 5 minutes.
The kid shouldn't even be able to play T games, considering he's only 11.

13+ is the age requirement for the Destiny servers.
SharePlay was probably the 5th dumbest thing Sony has ever pulled out of their ass and thousands of people abuse it everyday but now it's a phenomena...

Can you not get your head around how much of a shitty thing that was to do?? Sure, the kid should never have trusted him on shareplay and he takes this on board and, to be fair, he has handled the aftermath of the situation with maturity WAY beyond his eleven years of age. It's just so sad that he has to experience such levels of shitty-ness whilst doing something he loves and i wouldn't blame him if the daunting task of grinding both those characters back to where they were is to overwhelming and he walks away from destiny. If someone ditched my 32 & 31 characters plus all my exotics that would be it for me.

Wait, did you just compare a video game save being corrupted (happens all the time) to watching a cat being burned alive on Live Leaks? What "anguish" could their possibly be? You guys are begging for more content instead of moving on to a different game, this guy gave him the incentive to either start fresh or move on. If you are stupid enough to give your information to somebody on the internet, you deserve anything and everything that happens to you. Own up to your own actions, you wouldn't see me crying and getting published in a news article if I gave you my credit card information and you went and spent money, just like this kid shouldn't be crying for his stupidity getting stuff of his taken away.

Before I respond to you please read the definition of corruption. "change or debase by making errors or unintentional alterations." The child did not intend for this "alteration" to happen so corrupted game save is the correct usage. The mere fact that you brought up kittens burning a live is you comparing this guy to a sociopath (which are you even qualified to make that leap of faith?) is you comparing the two. Even if the kirmit kid did it on purpose and was lying about the entire thing he never once called in a death threat, sent hate mail over the internet or wished cruel death upon somebody else's self or family. Also, in the video of it happening Cuckold said "I've got to go talk to my friend, so I'll have to unplug the mic" and then -blam!-ing left him to his own devices. If he was really a friend (of which I've given my account information to a real friend and still have all of my stuff, and even if he did delete something I wouldn't be upset by it) then cuckold would know that it would be safe to walk away from his PS4.

I fail to see the correlation between handing an asshole your controller, whether it be on share play or physically in your own living room, and "corrupt game save data" but you keep flying that flag mate, it suits you. Yes, you are right, the kids naivety is something to point the finger of blame at but he is ELEVEN -blam!-*ng years old and has probably never been exposed to such a betrayal of trust ever in his life. I do blame this kid, actually I don't blame the kid, I blame the kids parents for a) not having parental controls on the Playstation to block this sort of behavior, b) allowing the kid to stream on twitch even though it is against their TOS, c) allowing the kid to play a T rated game without their supervision, and d) not teaching him how to use the internet appropriately, and e) not teaching him to stay away from strangers. Bet this kid would have been biting a blood stained mattress in the back of some pedophiles van if the dude offered to give him candy and to hop in the van.

Its like saying if Alan Turin had not invented basic computational mechanics then the PS4 would never had existed and this wouldn't have happened. If there is any truth to the story this kirmit fella was not a stranger he was a friend of a friend so i think it would be fair to label him an acquaintance so by human nature there would have been an element of trust as opposed to a total random. And really, supervision for Destiny, come on dude you can do better than that?? Again, I'm agreeing with you here, a large part of the blame is to be parked with this kid which is why Bungie is, and rightly so, not doing anything to recover the lost guardians & exotic weapon but it still does not take away the cold hard fact that what kirmit did was a very shitty thing to do.
