Ke$ha is a parody of the industry. Read some of the articles she's wrote for college humor, she's intentionally trying to be absurd and knows she's a bubble gum pop singer and not a serious artist. Miley though actually has a really good singing voice, Google her back yard sessions. I think her biggest problem is that she's also smart. She's making a lot more money now than she used to be. I just wish she didn't cut her hair.
