Once you get a scout with elemental damage, VoC or other ones you will never go back to kinetics.

In crucible the element isn't as crucial and it becomes more about the stats. Not that VoC and and the Fruit are bad in crucible it's just that the elemental damage isn't what makes them good in that environment.

I wouldn't say that. VoC is nice but doesn't have the range and punch GD or Badger have. Elemental only helps in certain Nightfall and Raid situations.
