This September Plague of Darkness is going to be released. Besides doubling the amount of content in Destiny and a new subclass for each class, we are supposed to get two new weapon classes. Now this is based off of old and leaked info so this is subject to change. So if we get no new weapon classes or five I would still like to hear your ideas on these new weapon classes.
Here are my ideas:
The Bow:
Now an old classic bow would be useless in this world, but imagine an energy based bow that shot beams or arrows of elemental damage. You hold the trigger button to pull it back, the longer held the farther and faster the shot goes and deals more damage. You would have to reload after each shot, but that time is extremely short. It would be a special weapon seeing that it would be powerful hit, but well balanced. The shots should follow gravity after a short distance, but a skilled user could get some far shots. I see many upgrades and perks that could be applied like explosive arrows or a triple shot. Also imagine the cool bow designs and just the thought of a guardian in the air with a bow pulled back is really awesome!
Sword:
Bungie already has the coding and motions of a sword, (Sword of Crota) but I do not believe that they will or should add this. It would most likely have infinite ammo and that is way too strong. If it's not strong enough damage you will get mobbed by the enemies, too powerful and it is op. Not to mention it would take away from the experience of the sword of Crota or the relic.
Grenade launcher:
This would be very like the rocket launcher, but it's projective would follow the laws of gravity.
Duel pistols: either semi or automatic pistol/handcanons that are inaccurate, but release a hailstorm of bullets. This would be primary and be a short to mid range weapon and of coarse can't aim with them.
Thoughts on these ideas?

Perhaps the grenade launcher could have a possible rolled perk "mine layer" in which grenades would stick to targets and detonate based on proximity to target

How about a super that u release and it will track active until it attaches to one or more enemies and will slowly kill. Counter is having to use your super.
