You can also run Vanguard Roc strike playlists if you have the expansion. It'll net you vanguard rep and marks, gear drops, motes of light, and legendary gear/ship/sparrow mission rewards (ever few runs gives something different, I'll post the link for the drop table). Combine that with filling up on bounties for the vanguard and Eris Morn and you'll rack up XP and gear in no time man.
