Zavalla stared back at his ghost, this was impossible. Back in the dark of one of the hangers more pronounced taverns sat a titan, at least what used to be. The man's long hair was a rats nest and the beard wasn't much better. His armor old and battered, his mark mere tatters.
"I ask you to find a Rouge titan and this is what I get?" Zavalla snarled at the annoying thing at his shoulder.
"Looks are deceiving, " replied the ghost flatly. "Justicar of New Monarchy, Crucible Champion, multiple awards for unmatched bravery; all unaccepted. He is one of the best."
With a arrogant shrug Zavalla made his way to the back. The records didn't lie and his ghost matched the database ID. He didn't like it but this disgraced titan is what he needed.
"Zavalla, to what do I owe this pleasure" growled the titan from under the brim of his hat.
"Vangaurd security forces need reinforce..."
"No," the titan cut off.
"You have a duty to the vangaurd outcast or not, " Zavalla retorted. This just started and already failed. Something that he has been accustomed to NOT doing.
"Kiss my arse blue boy," sneered the renegade titan as he rose to his full height. Even with the battered gear the titan posed a figure.
"it's about your imaginary dragons on venus," snarled Zavalla the threat in his voice was very much real.
The gun was drawn on him before he could regret what he said.
"I told you once what happened now stay back." The threat was there but not the desire.
"I'm offering you a full pardon and Monarchy accepted to bring you back as Justicar."
"I. Said. No." The titan said hitting Zavalla square in the face with enough force to send him sprawling.
"It's a civilian rescue OP." Continued Zavalla. He was desperate and he didn't want to publicly address this mission, but this was getting out of hand and he NEEDED the titan. " A small tribe in Venus near your sightings. THEY HAVE CHILDREN DOWN THERE!"
The titan stopped at the stairs. Zavalla wasn't vangaurd captain for no reason and he knew this man's files. He hit the titan far harder than even Kabr could punch.
"How long"
The titan stared, a quiet war raging in his head, the ghost silently humming away beside him. He made a left to the hanger, but not before Zavalla called out.
"If your working for me clean yourself up, McRoy!"
-------------------------
"Did you really have to do that?" The ghost wispered in his ear.
"And miss the best chance to punch blue boy in the face?" The renegade laughed "Yes, yes it was. Now let's go clean up, something darker than blue boys mood is waking up."
Brim left his confused companion behind as he ran full tilt to his quarters and his real gear. There was something else besides Zavalla calling him back to venus. He knew better to ignore it this time.
