Make sure to indicate your total playtime and if you still play. What is the longest you have been without destiny? Comment below. Personally, for me Destiny is a 7/10. At first, it is a drug that is so addicting and you want all the exotics and to make your dream character. I achieved my "dream gear" just last week and I am finding it hard to put on the game now. I ask myself things like "What did I accomplish?" Xur sold Praxic fire. I could have waited instead of blowing my motes since the leaks have been accurate!
Playtime 18 hours. I have one character and still play on resets. The longest break I had from Destiny was about 4 weeks.
Time to give Destiny a short rate.
Story: 0/10 and I do not have time to explain why I do not have time to explain.
Grimoire: 10/10 and very interesting but this should be implemented in the game. Halo has more story and that is sad.
PVE: A 3/10 alone but with raids 7/10
Reasons: Very low amount of content. Strikes and repeated story activities become monotonous and bounties do not have much variety. I am being generous with a three, because for such a PvE geared game, more people seem to spend time in pvp. The only good thing about PvE is the raids but after countless times of not getting crux and mythoclast they get rather boring. Nightfalls and weekly should be TWO different strikes. This is lazy design!
PVP: 5/10
Reasons: Low amount of game modes that are pretty much the same thing and always involve killing. No objective gametypes and no, control is not objective. Crucible in itself is very fun but there are still some glaring issues, which I will not point out. Bungie have the time and money to make crucible better than Halo, but right now, it is just a joke because everything is so random.
Social features: 1/10
Reasons: Emotes do not tell the guardians around you much. Add a option to recruit guardians into guilds and shit. Look at FF XIV for some examples.
And finally
*drumroll*
Gameplay: 10/10
Reasons: Destiny has supremely good gun mechanics and sublime gameplay but it ultimately is not enough when the whole game is pretty much grinding your ass off until you get something you want while being punished by the terrible RNG.
RPG features: 5/10: Again, it would be nice if Warlocks had more spells that are element based and each class was customizable. This game is all about the gear and if you do not have the gear, nothing else matters. Races SHOULD matter and not be cosmetic. I often forget what character I am playing because even my Awoken does not know what her home world is and what the Awoken even are. Make races integrated into the storyline and this actual rating would go up. In Destiny 2, Awoken Warlocks should be MAGES, Exo Titans should be tanks, and Human hunters should be like rogues.
RPG: DESTINY needs individuality. Get rid of the light system and give us ways to make our characters unique. Destiny is NOT an rpg in the slightest. An rpg has memorable features and characters, with story being the main focus.
Final score: 7/10. Bungie should have released it in 2015 but it didn't look like they had a choice.
