I know a lot of you are young, probably angsty, and don't really understand the function of the Report button. You should only report threads or posts that violate Da Rules/CoC. Simply disagreeing with or not liking what someone has to say is not a valid reason to report them.
If you don't like what someone is saying, then you have other options. You can "dislike" or "downvote" the post. You can hide the post. Or, you can use the nuclear option and mute the user. Save the reporting for stuff that actually deserves it.
You're welcome.
You can hide the post
How do you do this on PC without muting?

Reporting people on the forums is funny. It's really easy just to ignore people.

Edited by illmatic_nga: 3/2/2015 7:21:54 PMI've only reported two people. One because they insisted on harassing me with insults after I kindly asked the troll to leave me alone. The other because they flat out admitted to using a lag switch to try and cheese crota with solar flares. Unfortunately many forum users think it's a disagree button, which is what the mute button should be used for.

I report all douchebags that have a red connection in Crucible for lagging and take a screenshot of it to prove their connection is severely subpar. Internet tampering such as putting your console 100 feet away from your router inside of a make-shift faraday cage is against CoC.
