I've always been interested in the fact that the countdown timer to return to orbit doesn't start for so long after the Atheon (and Crota) are killed. Everyone assumed it was a bug that made the timer not start, but it does start, eventually. I've always had a feeling that there was something else to discover after the boss was killed, before the countdown begins.
