noob, from The Unknown here...we have a little shindig going on over at our place this weekend. Specifically, 11pm est we're calling The VoG Fire Team Drinking Challenge. loosemoose asked if I might share with the other PS3 clans, so here's the original post;
As spelled out in a post on Reddit, link is above, I would like to gauge interest in a late-night Saturday (3/7) raid that strictly enforces these Challenge rules. Prior to signing up it might be a good idea to remove the wife and kids from the house and explain to them that you will be totally useless for at least the next day. If we pull this off I'm thinking we have to find a way to record it...as we get a response I'll post the fireteam lineup so everyone can start the side-wagering on who drops their controller first!
Beyond, we may have two teams from the Unknown! If something comes together on your side let me know so we can link up somehow.

How is this different from a normal raid?

Edited by theSTOOPIDnoob: 3/5/2015 3:58:19 PMNot sure if you all have gotten enough folks together for this, over at the Unknown we have two-six man teams ready to drop Saturday night at 11pm est. To keep everything on the up-and-up we've come up with a few rulz...(sorry for the length of the post) OK folks, here we go. The post in the link above pretty much lays out when we are supposed to drink but I'll add to this a bit and hopefully clarify a few points, but remember, when in doubt...just go ahead and drink. Might even be a good idea to drink before you begin reading this! We will have a few additional "games" added to the Vault run we will be doing. I'll get to those in a minute but to properly explain these new games I must first introduce the single most important rule in the challenge... The Sips and Shots Rule Simply stated, the Sips and Shots Rule tells you how you are supposed to consume your drink based on any action you take in the game. For the instances mentioned in the link the penalty will be measured in sips...take a sip of your beer, mixed drink, whatever you picked as your poison. We will review the things that will cause you to have to drink at the beginning of each section before we play. For the special games listed below the penalty will be measured in shots. Using the liquor of your choice the victim must pour a healthy shot and consume it straight away. If you do not have a liquor that can be done as a shot then you must drain whatever drink it is you have. The Shot Games Drop in to Venus - We need to give the Praetorians a bit of time to take the plates from us at the beginning, so upon landing on Venus everyone will dance...and do a shot. Speeder Races - Once the spire has been completed and the door is open everyone will meet at the right plate. We will then mount our trusty speeders and race to the first chest. No eye gouging or kicks to the groin allowed...other than that it's all legal. First to the chest wins but you must stop at the chest, if you blow past it and off the edge, no soup for you! As expected everyone other than the winner will drink a shot. If the winner decides to drink a shot, everyone else will need to drink 2. Survive the Legions - The team will defend the middle conflux until the Templar summons its Legions. Once the Legions have been summoned all shooting must stop and each Guardian must survive as best they can, as long as they can. No hiding allowed! Winner is the last one alive, everyone else drinks. Jump, Jump, Jump - Complete the Jumping Puzzle from the top landing spot over to the far side using as many disappearing platforms as possible. Winner is the one who uses the most platforms, you know what everyone else does... The Two-Man Timegate - After the fireteam kills the first Gatekeeper a two-man team will move to the plate and activate the portal. Once activated one man will go in and the other will protect the plate. The winning team is the one that can bring the relic back out with them. Surviving Atheon - At the beginning of the Atheon phase everyone will meet at the middle platform and take everything the big guy throws at you, feel free to fire at him if it makes you feel better. The winner will be the last man standing on the plate. This is a very tight space so you'll want to be very careful where you step, wouldn't want to "accidentally" nudge someone off the edge. The End - As we began the game so we will finish, everyone will meet in the middle and we will drink to Atheon's (lack of) health. So, yes, we will dance...and drink a shot, or three. At different points in the Challenge we may peek our heads out and see how the other group is doing, always good to trade war stories...so, you now have two days to get your liver in shape, see ya out there!
